Last Saturday, the VG choir gathered to record their second CD.

The girls sang exceptionally well and managed to get through all 15 selected songs faster than expected.

Most of the songs recorded were classic choruses, such as Mozart's Requiem and Pavarotti's Libiamo, accompanied by music teacher Jillian Haarhoff on the piano, and others were traditional favourites.

Sound engineer Corinne Cooper oversaw the technicalities to ensure outstanding quality.

The VG choir is gearing up for its overseas tour later this year, and is keeping up its well-known high standard under the baton of Sibu Mkhize.

The CD will soon be available at the school.
