Junior tennis stars in action

Top local tennis players were in action at the Kingswood College tennis courts on Sunday, when the finals of the Grahamstown and District Junior Tennis Championships took place.

The event started on 28 January with the knockout stages, and culminated in the various age group finals on Sunday.

Top local tennis players were in action at the Kingswood College tennis courts on Sunday, when the finals of the Grahamstown and District Junior Tennis Championships took place.

The event started on 28 January with the knockout stages, and culminated in the various age group finals on Sunday.

Age groups represented were boys and girls U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18. Singles and doubles matches were played. The semi-finals were held last Friday and Saturday at the various schools' courts. The event was sponsored by Grahamstown Harcourts.

The top six players from each age group will play against Midlands on 17 February.
