There is a unique opportunity for boys from the Makana municipal area to become part of the world renowned Drakensberg Boys Choir when auditions take place this Friday.

Boys who are currently between grades three and seven are invited to audition at the Memory Hall at St Andrew's Prep School on Leicester Street between 3.30 and 5.00pm (by appointment).

The Drakensberg Boys Choir, situated in the Central Drakensberg World Heritage Site, currently has nearly a hundred boys hailing from all over Southern Africa. During the past two years they have had the opportunity to tour to Norway, the Netherlands, Botswana, Zimbabwe and South Korea.

They regularly perform with renowned South African artists and only two weekends ago, shared the stage with the dolphins at Ushaka Marine World in Durban.

Exciting projects later this year include a performance with the Lippizaners in Johannesburg.
