Business House Breaking

Grahamstown police are investigating a case of house breaking after building equipment was stolen. The equipment included one circular saw, a step ladder, a Bosch drill and a gas burner all to the value of R 11 300, and was stolen on Tuesday morning at the old KFC building in Bathurst street. A case of house breaking (business) has been opened.

Possession of stolen property

At 4:00 in the early hours of Wednesday morning a green Opel corsa with registered number CCM 013 EC was spotted on the N2 road going to Port Elizabeth near Grahamstown and stopped at Stone Crescent by the police. Five bags consisting of 112 rolls of cable wire from Eskom were found in the vehicle an Eskom worker whose name can't be disclosed identified the cables as Eskom's. All suspects were arrested and charged at the Grahamstown police station, a case of possession of stolen property has been opened against the suspects.

Stock theft

A heavily pregnant red cow a huge white mark on the right side of the head, with no bond marking and worth R10 000 market value was reported missing from at Fura farm on the outskirts of Grahamstown on Monday afternoon. No arrests have been made but a stock case theft case has been opened at the Grahamstown police station. The police are still investigating the case.
