After five years at the helm, the owners of Dupli-Print, Larry and Sharon McGillewie have decided to sell the business and go on the adventure of a lifetime.
Having bought the business from Desree Benyon in 2005, they will now undertake a two year trip – by motorbiking and microlight – that will take them across the African continent and into Europe.

Having bought the business from Desree Benyon in 2005, they will now undertake a two year trip – by motorbiking and microlight – that will take them across the African continent and into Europe.
Larry and Sharon aim to start their journey early next year if possible, fulfilling a lifelong dream. The McGillewies became grandparents three months ago, which encouraged their decision to take a few years off from work.
Larry says that the response from Dupli-Print customers was one of surprise, but general enthusiasm. “Dupli-Print has been here for some time and it is a stable business, so they should continue as normal with the continued support of local business.
We are very firm believers in the “support local” theory,” he said. The business will be taken over by Marius Lombard, whom Larry trusts the Grahamstown community will give the same support as they did to them.
They will be working in an advisory capacity to help Lombard for the first three months after the takeover, which happens on Sunday, 1 August.
Lombard has resided in the Eastern Cape for the past four years and is no newcomer to business, having spent 20 years in the insurance and motor vehicle finance industry.
He saw Dupli-Print as an opportunity to own his own business and venture into a new and challenging enterprise.
He would like to see the business expand and create more job opportunities for the local community as the business needs for Grahamstown grow.
“The business has been in town for 26 years, so I would like to continue with the legacy,” said Lombard. Larry and Sharon would like to warmly thank the Grahamstown community for their support over the last five years.
