SHIRILAULU is a dynamic vocal duo based in Grahamstown set to make its debut at the National Arts Festival this year with its versatile program 100 Tongues.

The duo comprises of Yemurai Matibe (soprano) and Lotta Matambo (mezzo soprano), who are resident soloists in the East Cape Opera Company.

The duo will be accompanied by Peter Cartwright, a fourth year piano student at Rhodes University. Works
to be performed include Rossini, Mendelssohn, Mozart and others.

You can catch a pre-Festival performance on Wednesday 12 May at 7.30pm at the Beethoven Room, Rhodes University.

Tickets cost R35 for adults and R15 (concessions). Tickets are available at the Rhodes University Music Department (contact Natasha Rischbeter on 046 603 8489) or at the door.
