The end result was a convincing 76–0 win for the hosts, St  Andrew’s. Graeme were the first team that could have crossed the line had they not knocked the ball on in the St Andrew’s 22 with an open try line.

The St Andrew’s side were able to absorb much of the early pressure and quickly close down any subsequent attacking moves from the opposition.

The St Andrew’s forwards were once again hugely influential in the game, as they were able to hook four tight-heads and disrupt almost every lineout from Graeme.

The result was a large amount of possession which then gave the backs a chance to run in some scintillating tries.

Try scorers for St Andrew’s – Geoffrey Toplis (two tries), Jonny Ford, Robin Murray, Mark Prior, Ryan Dugmore, Ian Herold, Nikita Manqoyi, Dane van der Westhuizen (1 try, 1 penalty kick and nine conversions), Ntsiki Mlamleli and Dale Austin.
