The annual Bathurst Bundu Bash Mountain Bike races took place from the Pig ’n Whistle in Bathurst over the past weekend, in conjunction with the Bathurst Show.

The event was organised by Rotary Port Alfred and sponsored by Pennypinchers. There were three distances on offer, a 60km, 40km and 20km and all went from the Pig ‘n Whistle through scenic farmland tracks before returning to Bathurst.

Although the entry form advertised certain prize money for the top three finishers, some of these were lowered as the prizes were handed out.

In total 75 riders finished the various courses, with a number of participants withdrawing due to broken chains and punchers.
