IN 2008 the Dean of Students Division commissioned a work by the Drama Department to address controversial issues on campus.

This work has since become an annual feature of Orientation Week. Andrew Buckland and Alex Sutherland
collaborated with a cast of Drama students and together they created a show which digs at the heart of weighty matters while also putting the audience in stitches.

The Amazing ‘Other’ Show looks at issues of racism, harassment, cultural differences, sexual orientation and other sensitive and potentially controversial subjects.

The aim of the show is to provoke discussion and to encourage awareness about the ever present issues in our society.

Rhodes is no exception and these conflicts will have to be addressed by all people at some time in their lives.

This year Janet Buckland directs the piece with a new cast of talented young performers. Catch the Amazing ‘Other’ Show at the Rhodes Theatre on Tuesday 2 February at 7.30pm, Wednesday 3 Feb
at 6.30pm and Thursday 4 Feb at 6.30pm. Entrance is free.
