THE Atlas Security Summer Series is all set to launch this December, coinciding with the opening of the festive season in Nelson Mandela Bay.
THE Atlas Security Summer Series is all set to launch this December, coinciding with the opening of the festive season in Nelson Mandela Bay.
The event is being sponsored by Atlas Security and consists of three races, the first at Happy Valley in Port Elizabeth on Wednesday, 16 December, the second at Hobie Beach on Sunday, 20 December and the final leg shifts to Port St Francis on 26 December – the deciding leg of the series.
The Sprint distance race for individual and team entries is a 750m sea swim, a 20km cycle and a 5km run. A children’s aquathlon is offered and this is a supervised 1km run, 100m swim and a 1km run, for children between the ages of 8 and 13.
Eastern Cape Triathlon Association (ECTA) event organiser Sharon Oakley said that the event has shown incredible growth over the years and athletes from all over the country who visit along the coast during the festive season look forward to this well organised fun, family event.
Entry forms and all the information is available on the Eastern Cape Triathlon Association website: www.epta.co.za and late entries will be accepted on the day.
