Port Elizabeth based duo Charmaine Allison and Elston Benjamin are not just any ordinary performing team but an entertainment team with passion for music.

They both established a promotions company called African Style Promotions which aims to "enhance the music industry and uplift up and coming performers."

The unstoppable duo will be bringing their groovy tunes to The Copper Kettle in Bathurst Street today at around 8pm. Just to give you a sneak preview of what to expect, their range of music varies from the iconic high octane Tina Turner hits such as Simply the best to smooth classics of Patsy Cline’s Crazy.

To top it all they are also well known for performing some of the best known duets such as My endless love. You’ll find them performing at weddings, award ceremonies or corporate events.

Not only do they perform various good time hits but they also shared the stage with Allison’s talented daughter Melissa who performed in High School Musical in Cape Town.

Allison and Elston themselves have performed alongside the likes of Thandeka (formerly PJ  Powers) and Freshlyground. "We believe we can make a difference and network with others in the entertainment industry unselfishly," says Allison.

Besides performing, they were also judges at various events such as the Boardwalk’s Karaoke idols and Uitenhage’s Idols. Benjamin and Allison say that their performances accommodates different people, young or old.

"We need to ensure that the show appeals to everyone and so we include a nice mix of old and new," added Allison. To experience what the two have to offer, make sure you don’t miss their performance tonight.
