After an early dismissal at 15-1, Paul Hofman and Michael Rushmere put on a 98 run partnership taking St Andrew’s to 107-1 after 25 overs.
Rushmere was run out for 45 and with Hofman going soon after that for 60, St Andrew’s got themselves stuck in the middle of the innings against the Graeme spinners.
Dale Austin and Sasha Gunn stuck around at the end, finishing the innings off well with an unbeaten 40 run partnership, St Andrew’s finishing on 195/7.
The pick of the bowlers for Graeme was Thato Lesoro who took three wickets for 25 runs. Thandisile Nqowana took 2/30.
After lunch St Andrew’s bowled a good line and length, with Graeme finding it hard to keep up with the run rate. Luvuyo Mabusela made 38 runs and Carl Oerson 31.
For St Andrew’s, Dale Austin picked up five wickets in his ten overs and was well supported by Ryan Dugmore, Paul Hofman and Richard O’Mahony.
Graeme were eventually dismissed for 146 after 46 overs, St Andrew’s won by 49 runs.
