The Grahamstown Golf Club women’s championships took place at the Grahamstown Golf Club on Tuesday.
The champs was held over 36 holes for the A and B divisions and 18 holes for the C division. Only a third of the field completed their rounds due to the heavy mist that came down mid-afternoon.

Daphne Bowker was the overall winner in the A division, Heather Inge won the B division and the C division was won by Jenny Ford.
The previous week saw the Stirk Trophy women’s event being played and Wilma Pellisier was the winner of this event.
Tuesday, 13 October is the final of the Pick n Pay Challenge – based on the President’s cup format which is being played overseas this weekend- when the singles of the President’s team meets the Captain’s team and the results of all four matches will be resolved.
