St Andrew’s College recently took part in the Charl van Rooyen U14 cricket tournament in KwaZulu-Natal recently, winning two of their three matches and drawing the third.

In the first match against Jeppe XI, St Andrew’s made 100 all out (Charl Pellisier 23), and Jeppe replied with 88/9 when bad light stopped play.

Panashe Muyuye scored 7 for 11 in 18 overs and the match ended in a draw. In the second match versus Durban Boys High School, St Andrew’s made 216/9 (Mbulelo Mama 58 not out).
 

DHS 156 all out (Panashe Muyuye 3 for 8 in 7 overs). St Andrew’s won by 60 runs.In their final match St Andrew’s faced Pretoria Boys High School.

PBHS made 133 all out (Panashe Muyuye 3 for 27 in 9 overs), St Andrew’s 137/2 (Murray Leith 41, Andrew Rushmere 43 not out).St Andrew’s College won by 8 wickets.

Mbulelo Mama was named batsman of the day after one of the matches, while Panashe Muyuye was named the top bowler of the tournament for picking up 13 wickets.
 

The St Andrew’s spinners, Andrew Rushmere and Grant Stretton bowled well throughout the week.
