Do you drink water? Well then you can help!

The Kowie Catchment Campaign is looking for schools or youth clubs to participate in the World Water Monitoring Day programme.

World Water Monitoring Day is an international education and outreach program that builds public awareness and involvement in protecting water resources around the world by engaging citizens to conduct basic monitoring of their local water bodies.

Celebrate with us by hosting a World Water Monitoring Day any time from now until December 31.

An easy-to-use test kit enables everyone from children to adults to sample local water from streams, rivers and dams for a core set of water quality parameters including temperature, acidity (pH), clarity (turbidity) and dissolved oxygen (DO).

Results are shared with participating communities around the globe through the WWMD website.

Contact either Jim Cambray on 046 622 2312 or email: j.cambray@ru.ac.za or Nikki Kohly n.kohly@ru.ac.za to arrange for a test kit and for further details.
