The Department of Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture, Makana Municipality and Makana Local Football Association (LFA) will host a Soccer Indaba “Gearing Up for 2010 and Beyond” that will look at the current situation of LFAs within Cacadu in terms of mobilising for 2010 World Cup.

The Department of Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture, Makana Municipality and Makana Local Football Association (LFA) will host a Soccer Indaba “Gearing Up for 2010 and Beyond” that will look at the current situation of LFAs within Cacadu in terms of mobilising for 2010 World Cup.

Jeff Budaza, Makana 2010 co-ordinator said the workshop plans to provide “ways and means of improving the state of affairs”.

The workshop will take place at BB Zondani Hall at 8.30am on Sunday 30 August.The workshop will reflect the thoughts, ideas and wants of the stakeholders which will be crafted according to the football developmental needs.  
“The product of this workshop is going to be used as a tool for organising the present with the hope of getting to the desired future,” said Budaza.

The workshop will assist in bringing together the relevant stakeholders, form strong partnership towards development, avoid duplication, maximised benefits from 2010 legacy programmes and build continuity in existing football programmes.

Budaza said that among the objectives of the workshop are to look at where we are and where we want to be, to understand the role of certain stakeholders in football development, to encourage LFAs and mobilise our community towards the 2010 spectacular event.
