Two people died and one was treated in hospital after a mysterious series of stabbings in the early hours of Saturday morning.
When an elderly woman awoke to investigate the sound of dogs barking outside her home in Joza, her husband heard her scream.
She returned with a stab wound in her neck.
When police arrived at the scene, they found the body of an unknown woman in her twenties at the door of a flat on the property and aman in his thirties, who was covered in blood.
The man died later that morning in hospital.
"At this stage no arrests have been made," says police spokesperson Captain Mali Govender. "Any person with information to please contact Warrant Officer John Manzana on 0827797117 or 046-6039111."
