Eastern Cape boxing champion, Mziwoxolo Ndwayana won the vacant World Boxing Federation (WBF), international welter weight title against Anelisa Gungqusa, in Lilian Ngoyi Hall, Kwazakhele in Port Elizabeth on Sunday.

Ndwayana, known as "Black Tiger", came back home with WBF belt after knocking down Gungqusa in round five. The fight was scheduled for 12 rounds but the referee stopped the fight in round five after a body-shot send Gungqusa to the canvas.
Speaking to Radio Grahamstown Ndwayana said he was happy about the fight: "I have waited for too long for this moment to come true," he added.
One of Ndwayana's fans, Luyanda Sakata said that he is proud of Ndwayana. "He has done a very good job. I want to have his picture in my room," said Sakata.
The WBF website, states that Ndwayana was “strong like an ox” and he has showed vicious power in both hands, as he decided to brawl with his brave adversary. But in round five he showed a "picture-perfect" body shot which made Gungqisa fall to the dust, and the referee, Steven Simon consequently stopped the fight.
Ndwayana's professional record in boxing is 16 fights -2 draws, 2 lose and 11 wins.
