One of the three Kingswood College pupils involved in a bus accident on Thursday 2 July is still in hospital after undergoing an operation, according to the senior school head Paul Guthrie.

The pupils were injured in a bus accident near Cookhouse last week while returning from a from a squash tournament in Gauteng.

Guthrie said Veer Bills, Zinathi Mbenyana and Kuhle Gontshi were all involved in the accident.

"Bills and Mbenyana are back at school and its only Gontshi who is still recovering in hospital after undergoing an operation," Guthrie said on Thursday 9 July.

"It was a traumatic event but we are grateful that there is positive progress.

Gontshi underwent the operation and has now stabilised.

"We can't say Bills and Mbenyana have fully recovered because that accident also had a psychological effect," said Guthrie.
