The NPP aims to unite players and coaches nationwide by addressing such things as training methodology, coaching syllabus and player attributes, SAFCA said in a media statement.
The association plans to take the strategy on a roadshow to all 52 local, regional and provincial clubs in the South African Football Association (SAFA).
The NPP is part of a process of repositioning the association to become a relevant football coaching authority in the country, the statement said.
The association is driven by the common purpose among coaches to take South African football to international levels of excellence.
SAFCA technical advisor Ted Dumitru said that a well-structured youth programme that speaks directly to coaches and players of the country will help achieve that goal.
“It is clear that had these pockets of relevant coaching influence been coordinated and sustained, our country would be boosting an array of such internationals that would in turn help our national teams reach greater heights," Dumitru said.
SAFCA President Greg Mashilo said they want to transform into an organisation that develops and empowers coaches and players alike.
Their membership is growing rapidly and they are coming up with innovative coaching programmes that are geared to making South Africa competitive globally, he said.
The NPP embraces a philosophy aimed at guiding the process of implementing and executing practical training methodologies towards a unitary style of play.
