Last month a similar Council meeting suspended him for seven days but that suspension was revoked after only one day when lawyers advised council that the suspension had not followed correct procedures.
Subsequently Chris Baker, a lawyer acting on behalf of Makana Municipality has rectified the procedural errors and a month long suspension has been imposed so that Council will have enough time to decide on whether there is sufficient evidence for any kind of disciplinary action against the municipal manager.
