Weekly rainfall report – 24-29 December

Jim Cambray reported 51.5mm rain from Park Road for 24-29 December, while Paul Maylam measured 43.4mm in Cathcart Street.

Temperatures for the week ranged from 12.2-29C, quite cool for this time of year.

However, despite a wet December with twice the average precipitation (110.1mm), Robin Stobbs reports this was the sixth consecutive year with below-average annual rainfall at his Grant Street measuring station.

The year ended almost 160mm below average – “but thankfully, almost 160mm above my lowest annual total of only 304mm in 2019!”
