AMP learners develop their compositions for the Commonwealth International Composition Award.

    By STAFF REPORTER

Two Access Music Project (AMP) learners Lihlumile Nyengane and Sesethu Mtshelu have won the Commonwealth International Composition Award in the ‘Starters Category’ (for first-time composers).

Lihlumile and Sesethu’s pieces will be played in London at the Grand Final in February 2022, and the event will be live-streamed.

AMP coordinator Shiloh Marsh said, “We are so proud of them. And we are so grateful to Commonwealth Resounds and ABRSM for launching our learners into the world of composition!”

To hear their compositions, and those of other AMP learners, created as part of the ‘Go Compose’ project, click here: https://youtu.be/dBz5JaZ17v8
