    WARD 7: Who won?

    The African National Congress (ANC) has retained its Ward 7 seat with a reduced majority. ANC candidate Lunga Masinda received 66.89% of the votes followed by Xolelwa Donyeli of the Makana Citizens Front (MCF) with 17.44%.

    The ANC won with 85.81% of the vote in 2016.

    Voter turnout on Monday was 41.71% compared with 43.17% in 2016.

    Makwenkwe Wilmot Kuselo, Azanian People’s Organisation (Azapo) candidate for Ward 7
    • MIND 0.59%
    Xolani Ngoyiya, Makana Independent New Deal (MiND) candidate for Ward 7

    Ward 7: 2016

    • ANC: 85.81%
    • DA: 9.62%
    • EFF: 3.02%
    • AZAPO: 1.37%
    • UDM: 0.17%

    Total registered voters: 3 465

    Voter turn-out %: 43.17%

    Voter turn-out: 1 496
