    Stolen vehicle arrest in Fort Beaufort

    Police arrested a 44-year-old man for possession of stolen vehicle at Fort Beaufort around 11pm on 26 July 2021.

    The arrest followed information recieved about a vehiclereported stolen at Walmer, Gqeberha, earlier this month. Police were on patrol when they spotted the vehicle on R63 and stopped it.

    When the driver ran away, the police chased him on foot and caught him. He was arrested and charged for possession of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was confiscated.

    The man is due to appear in theFort Beaufort Magistrate Court Wednesday 28 July.
