The poem celebrates the National Arts Festival, praises those who created the festival. The imbongi
asks which culture is celebrated during the festival. Kuluvuyo ukubona iimbuso ezonwabileyo ngeli xesha lonyaka. Kwanga kunga nje mawethu.

Sikubulise xa ubufika
Sakwamkela sikuhlangabeza ngobubele
Savuya sigcoloda
Saxhumaxhuma saxhentsa
Ngoku sesikujongile uyatshonela
Zihambiiiile intsukuntsuku ezikhatshwa lugcobo

Mnyhadalandini ndikufanise nantoni?
Ndiyinkuku esikw’umlomo mna
Andingetsho nokuba umsila wasilo sini na
Kuba zonk’izizwe zikuqhwabel’izandla
Kuluhadi nomrhubhe emacaleni
Sikhahlele na kubaseki bakho?

Loo madoda aseka lo mnyhadala aye phuma phi na?
Ezo ntokazi kwelo gqugula
Zifakan’iindlebe ziqononondisana nalo madoda
Ntw’ezazingqondonye nde
Ndino thulel’umnqwazi ndinganazi
Boxhankxeshe noxhankxeshekazi huuuuuntshu!

Mnyhadalakazi omkhulu wase Afrika!
Uboniwe minyaka yonke
Udlul’uzigasa ngetyesi
Yeqhosh’elingena ntunja
Izizwe nezizwana zase Makhanda zixhamla
Gxebe zikhalazel’ukukha phantsi sizele isitya

Mnyhadala wenkcubeko eMakhanda
Khawulikhuphe litsole
Khohlela bhodla
Tshica nengodlo leyo soyamkela
Ukuba usomile nesigwebs sosamkela
Uthe kanene ungumnyhadala kazwe lonke

Waaaaa! Mnyhadala wenkcubeko!
Likhuphe elaziwayo nokuba alaziwa
Yinkcubeko kabani le uyibhiyozelayo?
Yasekwa ngasizathu sini?
Kwathi qatha ntonina kakade xa kwakutheni?
Shosholoza kwezo ntaba

Maxa wambi iyasuduka ikati eziko
Maxa wambi imilamb’eyalanay’iyahlangana
Maxa wambi nezikolo zifumana nto
Maxa wambi izibhongobhiyane zisuzela phezulu
Maxa wambi x’ukho kulahlek’iintsana kukhal’abazali
Kanti uyinkcubeko kabani yobani baphi?

Ndisatshaya!
