Graeme College weekend wrap-up

The weekend of 18-20 May saw a good number of fixtures for the various Graeme College sporting sides. The weekend saw the the Graeme hockey sides take on Kingswood and St Dominic’s Priory, while the junior rugby teams took on some game opposition against Lorraine Primary in Port Elizabeth. The final set of fixtures for Graeme saw the Graeme and Kingswood u13 teams face off in a local tennis derby.

The Graeme junior school hockey team enjoyed their encounter against their local rivals, as they won 6-0 against Kingswood u13 D side.  The u15 A team drew 0-0 with the Kingswood u16 B side, while the senior sides played well against St Dominics Priory. The Graeme Second Team beat St Dominics 8-0 and the Firsts side won 4-0 agains their St Dominic’s counterparts.

The Senior School rugby teams had a bye with the Meyer Sauerman Trials taking place. This left the spotlight open for the Junior School, as they headed to Port Elizabeth for a tough fixture against Lorraine Primary. Graeme made a good start to the morning, winning the u9 A match. The results were pretty much evenly shared during he day, and Graeme finished the derby with a win in the u13 A game.
