Businesses in Grahamstown and Port Alfred came up trumps with useful prizes for readers who completed our survey questionnaire earlier this month. Up for grabs were a top-quality drill, two metal braai stands and four meal vouchers.

Our first edition of the free Grocott’s Mail went on to the streets on Friday 12 January 2018, and we asked where and how readers received their copy and what they thought of it.

Respondents’ names went into a draw for a Hitachi Impact Drill from BUCO, two metal braai stands from Albany Engineering and four meal vouchers worth R150 each for venues at the Royal St Andrew’s Hotel in Port Alfred (two for the Highlander Pub and two for the Paper Nautilus Deli).

Below are our winners:
Dambisa Zenani, from Grahamstown: Hitachi Impact Drill from BUCO 46 Bathurst Street
Vuyolwethu Booi, from Grahamstown: Braai Stand from East Cape Access.
Mawethu (surname not given), Boknes: Braai Stand from East Cape Access.
Sally Terry, from Grahamstown: R150 Restaurant Voucher for the Paper Nautilus Deli at the Royal St Andrew’s Hotel in Port Alfred
Ivan Ristow, from Grahamstown:  R150 Restaurant Voucher for the Paper Nautilus Deli at the Royal St Andrew’s Hotel in Port Alfred
Harry Mtambo, Boknes: R150 Restaurant Voucher for the Highlander Pub restaurant at the Royal St Andrew’s Hotel in Port Alfred
