    Winter Rose celebrates 130

    Winter Rose Rugby Football Club will hold its 130th anniversary celebrations this weekend. The celebrations take place on Saturday 18 November in the City Hall, starting at 5pm. The club was established in 1887 and, according to committee member Ramie Xonxa, the club has invited various sports clubs throughout Grahamstown and Eastern Cape. Various schools have also been invited to the event.  Preparing for the event are club committee members, from left to right, Sindile Ntlokwana, Thembisa Jela, Nombulelo Pona and Ramie Xonxa.
