Dylan Dare, owner of Cape Town based Givova clothing company recently donated a set of soccer kit to Grahamstown United. Dare, who was recently in Grahamstown to visit family, said he read about Grahamstown United in the Grocott’s Mail and decided then to contact founder and chairman Sinethemba Mbane to see how he could help the club. The Grocott’s article, written by Grocott’s SportsBeat reporter and Journalism and Media Studies student Tumelo Thamaga profiled Grahamstown United as a new club in Grahamstown and also encouraged readers and businesses to support the club in their journey. Dare said he is not only sponsoring the club but hoping that the club can sustain itself in the future. While he is only able to assist Grahamstown United for now, he hopes to be able to assist more clubs from various sports codes in the future. Photo: Stephen Penney
