    Eric Mapara Memorial Run

    Long-time Comrades Marathon competitor and local Eric Mapara (69) passed away last week Tuesday. His funeral is set for Saturday the 22 April with a memorial run accompanying him on his final journey.

    The run starts at 6.30am at the Matebese Funeral Parlour and runners will follow the hearse to Eric’s family home, where he will be remembered. At 8.30am the runners will lead the hearse from Eric’s home to the Catholic Church in Extension 4 where there will be a service.

    The runners will then take a taxi up to the Monument at 12.30pm, from where they will escort Eric to his final resting place.
