    Ford discount for graduates

    Ford Credit South Africa announced this month that it had launched a graduate purchase programme aimed at assisting newly graduated students. Eligible applicants will be able to qualify for a five percent discount on the purchase price of a new Ford, as well as a preferential interest rate according to their credit profile. “As a company with a great sense of social responsibility, we know how important education is to the economic and social fabric of South Africa,” said Steve Fraser, Ford Credit South Africa Managing Director.

    VWSA upgrades primary school in PE township

    Walmer Primary school, located in the Port Elizabeth township, received an upgrade courtesy of Volkswagen Group South Africa and its employees. The upgrade included the installation of a new jungle gym and garden to the school of 1515 learners, as well as plumbing, tiling and general maintenance, carried out by volunteers and local contractors. The upgrade forms part of Volkswagen’s Show of Hands Volunteer Programme and the Volkswagen for Good campaign, which focuses on education and youth development.

    Mpumalanga to host second round of York Rally

    The second round of the National Rally Championship, the York Rally, is scheduled to take place this weekend in Mpumalanga. The longest event on the calendar, the rally will take place in the towns of White River and Graskop, as well as the provincial capital of Nelspruit. Competing teams include ATS Motorsport, comprised  Richard Leeke and Henry Kohne driving a Ford Fiesta R2 in the S1600 class category of the rally. The event also forms a round of the FIA African Rally Championship, with racers looking to secure needed wins to gain qualifying points.
