    Dagga, booze and bottles in police raid

    Two women aged 25 and 58 were issued with fines of R1 000 each for offences relating to the liquor act and a 25-year-old man was detained for possession of dagga and selling beer concoctions during the Joza SAPS’s pre Easter Operations tis afternoon.

    Two women aged 25 and 58 were issued with fines of R1 000 each for offences relating to the liquor act and a 25-year-old man was detained for possession of dagga and selling beer concoctions during the Joza SAPS’s pre Easter Operations tis afternoon.

    The team yielded 200 litres of home-brewed concoction; 15 beer crates and 225 empty one-litre bottles and 2kg of brown sugar used to make the concoction.
    In addition, two illegal sheebens were raided and alcohol confiscated.

    The 25-year-old man will appear in the Magistrate’s Court in Grahamstown soon.
