Graeme College will host Paddy Upton for a fund-raising event on Friday 28 October.

Graeme College will host Paddy Upton for a fund-raising event on Friday 28 October.

Paddy was a crucial part of the coaching staff when the Proteas became the number one ranked test team under Gary Kirsten.

He followed Kirsten, and also worked with the Indian side that won the Cricket World Cup in 2011.

He then got coaching roles within the IPL. This year he took over the Sydney Thunder Big Bash side (after they finished last in 2015).

They went on to win the trophy under his guidance in his first year of coaching them.

Paddy will talk about coaching methods around the world being outdated by ten years, so his own philosophies are very different.

Funds raised will go towards the Graeme Sports’ Development Fund.

Tickets are R250 per person which includes a three-course meal. The event takes place at the Graeme Templeton Hall.

For more information or to book a seat at the dinner, contact Sharon Kruger on 046 622 7227 or e-mail s.kruger@graemecollege.co.za
