The annual Kenton veteran's premier invitation event for veteran tennis players takes place at the Kenton on Sea Tennis Club on the weekend of 17 and 18 September.

The tournament has been held for almost 25 years at Kenton on Sea and attracts top veterans players in  teams from all parts of the Eastern Province, such as East London, Graaff-Reinet, Bedford, Grahamstown, Port Elizabeth and St Francis Bay.

Proceedings begin with a welcoming cocktails evening on Friday 16 September. Play begins early on Saturday and continues throughout the day. A dinner is held at the clubhouse on Saturday evening.

The finals and play-off matches are played on Sunday morning at the conclusion of which lunch is served and the prize-giving is held.

There  are eight teams of eight players, four men and four women, with the women over 45 and the men over 50.

Men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles are played  in a knock-out format with a reverse draw for first-round losers. Anthony Bayley, convenor of the event said: "Tennis of the highest quality is expected."

The Kenton Tennis Cub, established in the early 1960s, is the host and organiser of the tournament.

Players and supporters together with club members are expected to number over a 100 on the day and spectators/visitors are more than welcome.
