Four people were rushed to Settlers Hospital yesterday morning of Tuesday 6 September in Joza location just near Khutliso Daniels Secondary School in Grahamstown.

The four people were reportedly passengers on the taxi that was taking them to town.

One of the injured passengers said the driver was speeding and in a hurry to give lift to two people that were waiting for any taxi coming their way.

He allegedly drove through a four way stop and at that time there was a car that was already coming and they crashed.

Police spokesperson Captain Luvuyo Mjekula confirmed that there were people who suffered injuries in the crash.

"They complained of  pain in various parts of the body such as hands, feet and legs but there were no fatalities. Police are investigating a case of reckless and negligent driving against the taxi driver," said Mjekula.
