    St Andrew’s Preparatory School hosted the 5th annual Independent Prep Schools’ Rugby Festival over the past weekend.

    St Andrew’s Preparatory School hosted the 5th annual Independent Prep Schools’ Rugby Festival over the past weekend.

    The festival took place from Friday 24 to Sunday 26 June, with matches played on the Fairlawn Field.

    St Andrew’s Prep hosted the inaugural festival in 2012. 

    Schools taking part in this year’s festival were St Andrew’s Prep and Kingswood College (Grahamstown), Glenwood House (George), St Charles College (Pietermaritzburg), St Peter’s Preparatory School, St John’s Preparatory School, The Ridge School (Johannesburg), Waterklook House Preparatory School (Pretoria), Western Province Preparatory School (Cape Town), Woodridge College (Port Elizabeth).

    St Andrew’s Prep beat The Ridge 29-14, drew 12-12 with St Charles and lost 27-34 to Waterklook House.

    Kingswood won two of their matches, beating St Charles 31-27 and St John’s 54-7, while they lost 7-31 to Waterkloof House.
