Kingswood College and St Andrew’s College 1st rugby sides enjoyed further wins in the 2016 season.

Kingswood travelled to East London to play their fixture against Stirling on a windy but clear Saturday. Kingswood enjoyed a 12-5 lead at the half-time break.

It was the second half that saw Kingswood pick up a gear. They scored off a Stirling kick that did not find touch.

Kingswood were comfortable 46-10 winners. Try scorers were Esona Mrwetyana (two), Siba Mzanywa, Matthew Takeloo, Tariq Mwinyi, Harry Robinson, Jeff Mutuku and Shane Weweje.

Weston Potgieter (one) and Tariq Mwinyi (three) kicked the conversions.

St Andrew’s hosted Queen’s College on Lower Field. The 1st team match was a bruising affair with both teams desperately trying to bounce back from defeats the previous weekend.

It was in the second half when St Andrew’s began to control the game, running in four tries.

Matt More scored first before Sazi Sandi and Angus Cook. More went on to score the final try before helping his side to a 31-23 win.
