As part of Child Protection Week which started on May 27, children of Little Red Dragon Pre-school and Oasis Rainbow Kidz will participate in a Child Protection Awareness March tomorrow (June 1).

The pre-schoolers will walk from the Lebone Centre, 15 Currie Street to 17 Paton Place in Lavender Valley, Vergenoeg.

The March will start at 9am.

Both preschools have been learning about protective behaviours and what they can do to protect themselves.

“My body belongs to me,” echoes the song that children have been practising.

The children will be carrying banners to raise awareness about this important issue in the community.

The children will realise that they have a voice and that they have rights.

Thanks to Kingswood College Interact and ACE children at Lebone Centre for making the placards and Makana Traffic Department for their permission and assistance.
