    Gtown schools rugby successes

    Nombulelo Secondary School 1st rugby team were delighted when they beat their Ntsika counterparts in a school derby encounter last week. 

    Nombulelo Secondary School 1st rugby team were delighted when they beat their Ntsika counterparts in a school derby encounter last week. 

    According to school principal, Nicci Hayes, this is the first time Nombulelo 1sts have beaten Ntsika in 15 years.

    The match took place at the Rhodes University Great Field.

    Kingswood College 1sts were runaway victors against Pearson on Saturday, when they won 55-5.

    Graeme College 1sts beat Newton Tech 33-7 after leading 19-0 at half-time.

    St Andrew’s College 1sts travelled to Cambridge High School for their inter-schools match. St Andrew’s ended up 35-14 winners after the score was 14-14 at half-time.
