    Partly due to the renovations taking place at the City Library, the Friends of the Library Annual Mini-fete will be taking place much later than usual on the morning of Saturday, 7 May at the Trinity Hall in Hill Street.

    Organisers say they are on the lookout for donations – particularly of books and White Elephant items.

    Please find below the people to contact if you are able to help:
     * For books: please contact Fiona De Villiers at 082 930 3375
     * For White Elephant, please contact either Mary-Louise Peires at 046 622 8836 or 082 772 0468 or Liz De Wet at 046 622 3858 or 076 334 3447.

    The money that we raise at the Mini-Market is channeled into improving and supplementing the library services that Grahamstown, Alicedale and Riebeek East Public Libraries provide, by purchasing books, CDs and videos and trying to fill the library "wish-lists" that are put forward every year.

    We thank you all for your wonderful support in the past and look forward to making the event this year just as successful with your help.
