The Rhodes inter res league resumed earlier this week, with a few teams looking to bounce back from their disappointing start to the campaign. Those teams who started strong in the first week, continued with the impressive start to the campaign.

Fantastic 11 registered their first win of the season with a convincing 3-0 win over the struggling DeBeers FC.

Hilltop FC and Shandis FC played to a 1-1 stalemate, while Goldfields FC edged out MSA with a 1-0 victory. KD Mandela FC were too strong for Retief Renegades FC as they won 3-2. Cory Matthews FC was once again clinical in front of the goal, as they scored an emphatic five goals to ease past Phoenix Knights 5-0.

The current log leaders, Abu Dhabi showed no mercy to rock-bottom Banter FC, thrashing them 8-1. Joe Slovo FC failed to get off the mark against Jan Smuts FC, losing 2-0 in the encounter.

Jan Smuts earned themselves another valuable three points later in the week against Phoenix Knights (3-0), who have not yet picked up any points in the three matches they have played. Kings FC beat Joe Slovo FC 3-0 with the  later losing three consecutive encounters. Banter FC find themselves last on the log after they went down 4-0 to Cullen Bowls FC.

The Shandis vs Fantastic 11 was a much anticipated match, which saw Fantastic 11 score the only goal of the match to secure a 1-0 win over their archrivals. Abu Dhabi are not looking back, as they registered their third consecutive win over KD Mandela FC (2-0).

Hilltop secured their second win of the season against Retief Renegades 4-2, while DeBeers got off the mark by earning themselves a point  against Goldfields.

The teams will turn their attention on the knockout stages which will commence on Monday 18 April. It will be a thrilling week as most teams will avoid being knocked out of the cup at all costs, and Grocott's Sport will be on hand to give you the highlights and scores.
