    Cops seize dagga in N2 taxi bust

    Grahamstown police arrested a 37-year-old woman and seized dagga with a street value of around R4 800 on the N2 last week. 

    Grahamstown police arrested a 37-year-old woman and seized dagga with a street value of around R4 800 on the N2 last week. 

    Police said the woman was arrested by members of the Grahamstown Highway Patrol Unit around 8pm on Wednesday 17 February.  

    Police spokesperson Captain Mali Govender said the woman was in a taxi that travelling from Mthata to Knysna.

    The woman was allegedly in possession of 4.8kg of dagga when she was arrested. Govender said dagga with a street value of R4 800 was seized. 

    The woman faces a charge of possession of dagga and will appear in the Magistrate's Court in Grahamstown soon.
