Karate championships hosted at Fish STAFF REPORTER The SASKA East Coast Karate Open (SECKO) Championship will be hosted at the Fish River Sun Hotel and Country Club Resort on 1 August.

This is the ninth year that the hotel will be hosting the event, which has become one of the largest and most prestigious annual ‘by invitation only’ karate events in the Eastern Cape, attracting more than 400 competitors.

The event is open for all styles, ages, grades and categories and will be held across five arenas says SECKO organiser Gary Grapentin.

The official opening will start at 8am with the black belt categories kicking off just after 8.30am.

The Fish River Sun is offering special weekend packages to support the championships.
