Doctors Without Borders’ (Medicine Sans Frontieres or MSF) face-to-face fundraising team will be in Grahamstown this week.

Today and tomorrow (Tuesday/ Wednesday) they will be at Checkers and on Thursday and Friday they'll be at Peppergrove.

On Saturday they'll be at Village Green.

They are in the province for a six-week tour from 16 June to 25 July.

Their aim is to raise funds for MSF’s medical work throughout the world as well as giving information on how people can potentially join MSF as field workers.

During the tour, the team wants to make people aware of the organisation’s international emergency medical work, including its recent response to emergencies like the xenophobic attacks on migrants in Durban, earthquakes in Nepal, ongoing conflicts in South Sudan and Central African Republic (CAR) and Ebola in West Africa.

One of the activities lined up during the tour is a media discussion in Port Elizabeth on the role of media in humanitarian and health issues.

The discussion will involve working journalists as well as media and journalism students from Port Elizabeth and surrounding areas.

Go along and find out more about the incredible work they do and see how you can help.
