Kingswood College secured a superb 20-19 victory – their first win since 2011 – over their cross-town rivals, St Andrews College, at this year’s K-Day 1st XV rugby fixture, which took place on St Andrews’ Lower Field on Saturday.

Kingswood College secured a superb 20-19 victory – their first win since 2011 – over their cross-town rivals, St Andrews College, at this year’s K-Day 1st XV rugby fixture, which took place on St Andrews’ Lower Field on Saturday.

Kingswood drew first blood with a 3 pointer from flyhalf, Daine Kruger, after the home side conceded a penalty at the breakdown.

St. Andrews went into the break with a 7-3 lead, and extended this early in the second half.

However, Kingswood scored two late tries to take a 20-14 lead.

In a nail-biting final few minutes, St. Andrews scored after the hooter, taking the score up to 20-19, but the match winning conversion was missed, handing Kingswood the victory.
