Poor people scrounging for limited resources is one of the biggest causes of Xenobhobia, according to former South African president Kgalema Motlanthe.

Motlanthe was speaking at Eden Grove at Rhodes University on Monday, 25 May on the theme “Rethinking 21st Century Pan Africanism” at the Pan African Youth Dialogue (PAYD) Africa Day Lecture. During his talk he touched on a range of issues from Xenophobia, racism, the country’s way forward and challenges facing Africa as a continent. Other speakers at the event were PAYD’s Sphokazi Magadla and Xolani Nyali, executive director of PAYD. For more updates visit Grocott's Mail Online.  Photo: Anele Mjekula
