St Andrew’s College first cricket side will represent the Warriors in the national finals of the Under-19 Coca-Cola T20 Schools Challenge.

This comes after St Andrew’s beat Dale in the Eastern Cape final in East London on Saturday 14 February 2015.

The national finals will take place in Stellenbosch from 20 to 22 February.

The EC final was moved from King William’s Town to East London due to the wet pitch at the Dale cricket field.

St Andrew’s won the toss at Buffalo Park and made 110 all out as Gordon Everard top scored with 33 and Stuart Hobson added 27. Sinesipho Dlongodlongo was the pick of the Dale bowlers, taking three wickets for 19 runs. St Andrew’s bowled Dale out for 93 as Tom Lane took two wickets for 21 runs. St Andrew’s won by 18 runs.

On their way to the finals, St Andrew’s beat Kingswood College and Volkskool in the first week of the competition. During the second week, St Andrew’s beat Woodridge College and then Pearson. At the Eastern Cape final, St Andrew’s beat Dalubuhle on Friday 13 February.

Currently Hilton College (Dolphins), Grey College (Knights) and Potch Volkskool (Lions) are the only other confirmed finalists, with the Cobras and Titans still waiting to crown their champions.
