Eskom's load-shedding status is changing by the hour. Here's where we post their updates as we get them.

The latest from Eskom –  3.00pm, Thursday 6 August

Eskom will implement stage 2 load shedding from 5pm today, which is likely to continue until 10pm.

"The power system is currently constrained and under pressure because of a shortage of generating capacity as some of our power stations’ units are currently on maintenance. We will also use the day to build up reserves for the week ahead," Eskom said in a statement.

Eskom has said they would use the published load shedding schedules on the Eskom website (http://loadshedding.eskom.co.za) for Eskom customers.  Eskom customers can also contact their customer call centre 0860 037 566.
