The annual Grahamstown Schools' Cricket festival, hosted by St Andrew's College, took place from 6 to 9 January.

The annual Grahamstown Schools' Cricket festival, hosted by St Andrew's College, took place from 6 to 9 January.

Results from day one (Wednesday 7 January) of the Grahamstown Schools’ Cricket Festival:

St Andrew’s College vs Menlopark High School
St Andrew’s 175 All out (Ross Vides 80), Menlopark 143 all out (Bernard Snyman 72, Thinus Viljoen 43, Ross Ferguson 5/22). St Andrew’s won by 32 runs.

Kingswood College vs Namibia U19 XI
Kingswood 196/9 (Daine Kruger 46, Ryan Victor 34, Tony Pedro 35 not out; Hendrik Koekemoer 2/35, Nico Davin 2/28), Namibia U19 XI 197/3 (Tiaan Steenkamp 93, Hermias Strauss 65). Namibia U19 XI won by 7 wickets.

Graeme College vs St Alban’s College
St Alban’s 142 all out (Bradley Williams 2/26, Lelethu Cekiso 2/19), Graeme 143/9 (Nicholas Zimmerman 43, Uzu Nyanda 28). Graeme won by 1 wicket.

Hudson Park High School vs St Dominic’s High School
Hudson Park 278 all out (Jason Niemand 90, Troy Opperman 72, Sibulele Mbana 30, Axola Ngwana 30; Kyle de Beer 3/32, Tomas Luck 2/33, Ryan Olivant 2/56, Joshua Brummer 2/62).
St Dominic’s 108/8 (Luke Dallas 3/16, Jason Niemand 3/49). Match drawn.

Trinity House vs Woodridge College
Trinity House 169 all out (Greg Jacobs 50, James O’Hare 24; J de Klerk 3/16, L Mercer 2/12), Woodridge 170/8 (B Phillips 45, J de Klerk 32 not out; Stephen Kettley 4/58, Jordan Nel 2/18). Woodridge won by 2 wickets.

Cambridge High School vs Grahamstown Rural XI
Grahamstown Rural 161 all out (Bekhi Qaba 6/17), Cambridge 162/8 (Avile Thiso 76, Lihle Nyondo 49). Cambridge won by 2 wickets.

Muir College vs St Andrew’s School (Bloemfontein)
St Andrew’s School 260/9 (Garnett Tarr 74, Petrus Coetzee 43, Andrew Berry 5/51), Muir 83 all out. St Andrew’s School won by 177 runs.
